Nice castle to linger in, definitely even nicer in the sunshine ... but there was a fireplace to warm up in the living room, the dog felt comfortable and the coffee is very good and the waffles really delicious! The bridge tariff is then deducted again after consumption ...

A castle complex well worth seeing with a moat, castle park and very good gastronomy. A trip here is highly recommended!

We only gave the castle seen from the outside including the complex with hotel, restaurant and shop. The gatekeeper on the bridge in front of the castle is very charming ... He "demands" € 2.00 road toll, for which you get a voucher for the same amount for the restaurant 😄 When we were there there was a medieval market in the garden behind the castle. Great ambience, everything in good condition or restored We ate in the pre (beer) garden with dessert, it was really delicious and the service was very good 👍🏻😄

It was nice there. Bridge tariff of € 2 per person willingly paid. A refund will be given for the consumption of food. Very well! However, the food is very, very poor in terms of price / performance ratio. With a main course for just under € 20, you can expect to be full, at least for a teenager. We'd love to come back, but we wouldn't order the main course again for this price!

Nice cakes (cheesecakes with cherries and something with plums in jelly), nice pancakes, coffee below average, but interesting decor and service very fast and competent.

Have a nice stay. Stands with all kinds of offers made the stay good. Good food at barely reasonable prices. Carriage tours are offered.

In the middle of Usedom/ Germany

A wonderful place to linger, dine, spend the night or visit. Dishes are tasty and plentiful. The prices perfectly okay. Respect to the owner, who tirelessly develops and implements further ideas. The in-house brewery is a highlight. The staff was very quick and nice and still open to questions. Clear recommendation from us.

The elaborately and tastefully restored Mellenthin moated castle is fully accessible from a gastronomic perspective with a restaurant, hotel, brewery and coffee roastery. In the courtyard of the restaurant (main courses are between 14 and 28 euros), a school band is stopping off on their bath tour today. We are largely protected from this on the terrace of the brewery. The brewery offers themed evenings. We are there for the "Pomeranian buffet": "Seasonal fish & meat specialties from the region & creative kitchen workshop dishes to build yourself" promises the website. Reservation is recommended. The Pomeranian reference of the dishes on offer is not really obvious to me, but the quality of the buffet is convincing. There is a high-quality selection of three fish and three meat dishes, with high-quality side dishes and desserts. However, I have not been able to discover "creative kitchen workshop dishes to build yourself". Or maybe that means the side dishes? Due to the corona, the buffet is only accessible as a one-way street, which works very well. There are disinfectant dispensers at the buffet, and guests also wear masks there. It is all the more astonishing that not a single member of the friendly service team wears any type of mouth and nose protection.

The place is historic and a very nice destination with delicious food. The cake selection is just great. Home-roasted coffee and home-brewed beer. This year we took part in the castle tour.

A nice destination. The cake is delicious. Due to the large number of guests, the peace and quiet to linger a little was missing. We didn't like it, we had ordered seats for a small group a long time ago. These were not reserved and after a bit of hectic we had to sit at separate tables.

We were on 09/01. both for coffee and for dinner in the Mellenthin moated castle. The waiter was very attentive and kind. The food was very good. Today on September 4th we were there again for dinner. The food was ok but nothing special. It wasn't worth the price. We were served by a different waiter this time. He seemed a bit overwhelmed and we had to wait a long time before we could order dessert. We then did without the espresso. Too bad.

An interesting ambience, high rooms, great large paintings, the breakfast was plentiful and good. The beds fine. The whole castle is in need of some renovation. A little tip, if you have a room on the top floor, shower in the evening ... I repeatedly had no water pressure when showering in the morning ... The surrounding area is best explored by bike or car. A small restaurant is within walking distance. The dishes there are good home-style. Reasonable prices. The service very friendly. There are plenty of parking spaces around the castle.

Very nice facility. You should have seen it. The food looked very nice, our waffle was superb. The Corona regulations were complied with in an exemplary manner. A place where you can feel good.

Very nice ambience in the middle of an ancient castle. The building has been done very well in recent years. You feel very comfortable from reception to departure. The staff is very friendly and sees if the guests need something. We liked the in-house beer from our own brewery, as did the food we ordered. Thank you for a great stay. P.S .: A highlight for children is the moat that can be navigated with the rafts provided.

A wonderful evening with the family! The reservation was comfortable and straightforward. The ambience is very nice and cozy. The food came reliably and very quickly. There really is something for everyone. Diverse selection of different foods and drinks. Coffee and beer are specially made by Schloss Mellenthin and are really very good! You can buy coffee, beer and a lot more in a small farm shop. Our food was prepared with love and very good. The portions were very ample, absolutely adequate. But what we liked best was the staff! Super super friendly, polite, reliable, fast and, above all, attentive and child-friendly! Our daughter's small special requests that were not on the menu were easily fulfilled. Thanks for the evening and all the best to Mellenthin Castle!

This is a nice castle. And they serve a good food too...

There is a restaurant and a brewery, but nothing else is done to make this castle a worthy touristic attraction to my mind. They collect 2 Euros for entry to manipulate people to use the restaurant, as this can be deducted from the restaurant bill.

Very nice place but horrendous buffet!

Restored old castle with its own brewery. Very attractive menu. Unfortunately we have only tried the waffles so far, but they were so delicious! There are also overnight accommodations here. When crossing the Schlossbrücke you have to pay € 2.00, which is fully offset when you eat it. It's worth a visit!

Probably the best beer on Usedom island

Very nice castle with hotel, brewery, restaurant and its own coffee. Service was fine. Dinner in the brewery with buffet was very good and the prices are fair.

Nice little castle with lots of space in the restaurant to sit inside and outside. Great to bring kids along and stroll around the water. You have to pay a 6€ fee if you want to enter the area, but you get the money back if you order some food or drink which I can definitely recommend on a sunny day.
